Does teletherapy work?

Yes!  Speech therapy at a desk, on the floor, or via Zoom is still speech therapy.  Utilizing technology is simply a different way to deliver the service.  Teletherapy has been well studied for many years.  The effectiveness of teletherapy as a service delivery model in the schools is well documented.  In fact, a recent study showed that teletherapy interventions were as effective as in-person services and both teletherapy and in-person clients made significant and similar improvements (Wales, Skinner & Hayman, 2017).
